#DearMe: This is Your Story

To honour International Women’s Day, YouTube has asked a very simple question: what would you tell your teenage self? Our myriad experiences as women and creative people have changed us all since we were teens. What advice would you give yourself? What experiences do you remember, and what can you say about them now?

I decided it was an intiative worth doing not just for the month, but to remind myself that if I could get through everything that happened when I was 17, I can get through things now.

  1. “You keep struggling. You keep trying and you keep moving forward…”

This was beautiful and inspiring, it made me want to cry and hug you and cheer you on and celebrate all at once. You’re an amazing writer and an amazing person, and it’s been an honor to be your friend for all these years and to watch you face challenges, challenge yourself, and grow. I love you, and I am so very proud of you.
