On another edition of Breaking the Spine’s awesome meme, we’re talking about secret agencies and death-defying escapes:
As a little girl, Daisy Appleby was killed in a school bus crash. Moments after the accident, she was brought back to life.
A secret government agency has developed a drug called Revive that can bring people back from the dead, and Daisy Appleby, a test subject, has been Revived five times in fifteen years. Daisy takes extraordinary risks, knowing that she can beat death, but each new death also means a new name, a new city, and a new life. When she meets Matt McKean, Daisy begins to question the moral implications of Revive, and as she discovers the agency’s true goals, she realizes she’s at the center of something much larger — and more sinister — than she ever imagined.
I loved Cat Patrick’s first novel, Forgotten, so picking this one up is a no-brainer. Daisy’s courage appeals to me as a reader and I’m eager to see what’s in store for her.
Go visit Cat Patrick at her website and follow her on Twitter @seecatwrite.
You can also check out Revived on Goodreads and pre-order it on Amazon and Book Depository. Revived will be released on May 8, 2012.
I really like the cover of this one. Never heard of it but will definitely check it out, sounds really good.

I’m looking forward to reading Revived as soon as I catch up on my TBR pile. Why must school get in the way of reading for fun? *sigh* Great WoW pick, Angel!
